Why, now, on the web site of motion displays supplier, we should wrestle the issue of evaluating the finished product? - A roller screen has to have two major components: the aesthetics and reliability. Surely, the reliability of mechanism and the aesthetic appearance of the display.

The basis for evaluating was the biggest Russian Advertising exhibition Reklama-2008 (ADVERTISEMENT -2008) , which was held in Moscow. On this exhibition you could see represents all over the Russia and some other countries: China, Ukraine, Belarus, Sweden,      e t.c.
So, moving from first to the third pavilion of our exhibition: The first company on our way – “Vershina” ("Top"), which, especially for the exhibition, provided advertising installation 3 ? 4 meters size. The impression wasn’t so grandiose: the massive steel framework, huge gaps in the leaf (pin drop), Linix™ motors and foil on the roll, naturally with bulky detection sensors. In general, nothing special, no revolutionary changes - rather clumsy. However, like any Moscow billboard (Moscow authorities seem to be having their own mind at aesthetics).

Moving on. When you log into a second room for a huge area of our encounters exhibition company «Prizmatron», unchanged from last year (back, printed on the banner looks rather terrible - found, so as to save:), a lot of thick triplex - probably, the company lobbied the interests of glaziers.

They  have kindly demonstrated working city-format, even opened lid of the display, but alerted the ban on photographing the control PCB. Chinese electric DC motors, simple sensor system.

The next move is to the company “Favor” - a new city-format motion display is really well,  they have used the most popular decision in the world – glass is glued, no framework baguette - the company reiterated it brilliantly. Profile box provides high rigidity of the structure enough to roller display.

It is hoped that customer deliveries will not be different in appearance and quality of the exhibition specimens. From conversations with officials of the company it can be concluded that in the near future the company will introduce (or fails to provide – because of lack of purpose) a unique solution for the roller mechanism. “Favor” is technically literated and have a clear vision.

Next is the company, presented like “BigPlakat™”. At a very modest area of 15 square meters, there were shown two ready-roller displays of the different sizes:  1.2 m * 1.8 m and 2.5 m * 2.5 m .

Both devices are made of metal-plastic profiles and are equipped with the lastest version of a series of mechanisms "IQ", worked in an alternating mode, because regularly were willing to consider the details of the mechanisms, which had to turn off the scrolling, open the lid and so on.
It’s rather difficult to imagine an objective assessment, but some facts speak for themselves:  two exhibits were sold on the second day of the exhibition, while, according to our information, roller displays of other companies weren’t gained by anybody during the whole exhibition and their masters had to take it back to home.
So even led - at a nearby stand of the same area settled our long-time friend and partner company “Vira”, which were using bigplakat mechanisms. Regarding the boxes - I personally haven’t seen anything aesthetic in these standard solutions, but as it says, the buyer shall vote by ruble and, obviously, decision of the company is incredibly practical.

Further, our path lies in the room N-3, where we first met the company “Eurostreet”, flooded with different advertising units on a relatively small area. Difficult to assess the magnitude of the proposals at such small spaces. Here is a roller screen 3 * 4 meters, as well as some semblance of brick - blanks for the manufacture of roller display 1.2 * 1.8. When closer look we notice disorderly assembly finished roller display and a fairly large crack on the top "face" corner of the finished design. In our observation of "strange performance for high-quality positioning" director smiles and nodes with ass face.
But let us return to the constructor-Eurostreet: in our view, this is very good proposal at the ratio of price-quality aluminum construction (about $1000 ). In addition, the company does not limit buyers to choose the mechanism booth demonstrated the technical possibility of good and accessible form. It will be recalled that the company is a major buyer (and consequently reseller) products Franco-Swedish enterprise "Prismaflex", the largest supplier in Western Europe . The same company offers associated products – ZipLock and paper. According to the head, the company has ambitious hopes for cooperation with Prismaflex and also in 2009.

A bit further, we can find absolute inadequate stand of the French. Dim lighting, hardly designed display - the horror!  What had people wanted to show (or to say)? Perhaps there is the simple explanation: where efficiency ends - begins showy characteristics. This idea of us holds to the last visit in a third room - the largest in size and effective advertising solutions, with an incredible roller displays the total number of all sizes and types: the stand of “Adventure - D-media "  consortium.
Firstly, why the consortium: According to the director of Adventure, all parts for Di-Media were manufactured by Adventure, secondly, companies use a technical solution (details below) for the roller mechanism, and have similar mind about their positions on the market                       (as «Russian largest industrial company»), and endeavor to distancing from the other  ," bad " companies.

Now, the most interesting (from our point of view): the technical details of policy differences technical and technological solutions promoted by these companies.
Above we said that there are two fundamentally different poster rewinding chip: linear encoding - this is where the poster on the tape posted some tag and sensor stops or alters the rotation of drive, seeing (or not seeing - if any errors) that label. An alternative method - radial encoding (Simply put, the calculation speed and memory provisions) and, although some detractors does not see this as anything new, this decision have already been recognized like the inventions and confirmed by two copyright certificates (owned by the BigPlakat company)

So, let’s look inward and try to understand - who is who.

The device of radial encoder in the design of the outdated NewSensor version  of BigPlakat company	Impeller and contactless Optical Encoders    (a revolution shaft counter) of NewSensor   system

  At the core of the device is a revolution  of electric motor shaft counter – it’s readily visible impeller and light sensor - exactly the same as the early release of BigPlakat’s NewSensor™ system.
The difference is that at BigPlakat’s  systems as limit switches (the definition of the end scroll to change scrolling direction ) used the same light sensors, demanding to use, but lack the resources and the proposed scheme - this mechanical release, quoted in effect moving on threaded stud nut.
Thus, the Chinese company W&DA (as well as GGKW,  BDX and another dozen Chinese plagiarist) had copied NewSensor™ system, bringing with her point of view the decision to increase the reliability of limit switches.
It should be noted - these arrangements were made in China, imported into the territory of Russia in limited quantities (nearly 140 units) and sold only in the license agreement between the companies and Adventure and trading house “Micron” (in the management of which is patent on the invention)

IQ mechanisms of BigPlakat company: today is the same idea of counting and memory speed shaft (or shafts) is executed on a new technical level, namely: the three phase (number of semiconductors)  motor with a magnetic rotor - a kind of synchronous motor, known from almost the first third of the last century. Determining the true state of the rotor in such motors is based on anti- electromotive force, brought in stator tapings with rotating magnetic rotor.
Two pairs of active rotor poles and three pairs of poles of the stator avoids “dead spots”  and allows to get «step», a rotor position sensor - Hall sensors - to manage the current phase. Again, the least angle of rotor moving  - at least a step of stator poles: in this case, 60 °.

Simply put, this solution provides the highest efficiency of electric motors - and this in turn an independent power supply with a minimum battery size (if necessary) and increasing better interference resistance and any characteristics power two independent channels to monitor the scrolling situation - through counter induction and Hall sensors, and most the main thing - a full transition to digital control device.
All these factors allow us to declare substantial improvement in reliability and age of these mechanisms and ... ... (the system competitive scientific approach ..)
